* 1966 -- Halfback Jim Herring scored twice for Pasco on 6-yard runs in the first and fourth quarters, and the Bulldogs snapped a halftime deadlock to post a 33-13 win over host Richland in prep sophomore football action.

* 1960 -- Tri-City Braves third baseman Tommy Agosta -- who batted .384 to lead the Braves out of the NWL doldrums for the first time in a decade -- made the headlines with his conspicuous absence from the Northwest League's All-Star list. Making the list from the Tri-City team were Fred Rick (righthanded pitcher) and Walt O'Neil (left field).
