Customers of Waste Management of Kennewick can resume taking household and yard waste to the transfer station on West 27th Avenue in Kennewick.
Waste Management officials announced that the facility, which was closed to the public temporarily after a fire Aug. 28, reopened this week.
Kennewick residents with dump coupons can start using the 27th Avenue facility immediately, said Robin Freedman, a spokeswoman in Kirkland.
Customers who were told to use Basin Disposal, 1721 Dietrich Road, in Pasco, can continue to go there through Friday, but should use the transfer station on 27th Avenue next week, she said.
The free dump coupons are provided only to Kennewick residential customers as part of Waste Management's contract with Kennewick.
