* 1989 -- Shannon Pudwill had seven kills and five blocks, and Allison Burk had 31 assists as the Columbia Basin College women's volleyball team raised its season record to 2-1 with a 15-2, 13-15, 17-15, 15-7 nonleague home win over Treasure Valley.
* 1986 -- Brad Tidrick of Yakima won the 50-lap late model superstocks main event at the Tri-City Raceways. Tidrick was followed by Terry Martin of Walla Walla, Vern Morgan of Yakima and Ron Bradley of Pasco. Bradley also placed first in the street stock main event. Don Malbeck of Kennewick won the 20-lap main event in the ministocks, with Carl Dean of Benton City second.
