* 1986 -- Kamiakin linebacker Bill Cobb led a defensive unit that held Richland to just 85 yards and two first downs as the Braves recorded a convincing 26-7 Big Nine victory over the Bombers at Kennewick High School Stadium.

Richland scored the first points of the night, as Jason Martinez passed to tight end Brian Zinsli for a 7-0 second-quarter lead. But Kamiakin scored the next 26 points, including a pair of rushing TDs by Simon Robinson.

* 1977 -- The Columbia Basin Sportswriters and Broadcasters voted a pair of quarterbacks -- Othello's Stan Buck and Kamiakin's Lee Adams -- the athletes of the week for their outstanding performances the previous week.
