A Umatilla woman was hurt Friday in a car crash on Highway 14, six miles east of Paterson.

Susana Davila Tejeda, 36, was headed west on the road when her 200 Chevrolet Blazer veered off the north side of the road and when she overcorrected the vehicle rolled, the Washington State Patrol reported.

The car ended up in the eastbound lane, sliding into a 2001 Freightliner semi-tractor driven by Marshall Lee Smith, 27, of Pasco.

Smith was not hurt in the crash. Tejeda was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland where she was treated and released.

The WSP said the cause of the accident was fatigue and charges of negligent driving are under investigation.
