Prosser residents turned Monday out to celebrate the 86th annual Prosser States Day Celebration and Parade. The celebration is a Labor Day tradition started years back when farmers would take a day off from their work and head to town for an old fashioned picnic. Residents then began wearing badges displaying their home state thus creating "States Day." HERALD/PAUL T. ERICKSON
