The Tri-City Americans scored four goals in the third period en route to a 5-2 preseason victory Friday night over the Everett Silvertips at the Everett Tournament at Comcast Arena.
Justin Feser gave the Ameri-cans a 1-0 lead in the second on a short-handed tally, only to have Everett's Josh Birkholz answer a minute later.
Michal Plutnar started the Americans' flood of goals in the third, scoring just 4:44 into the period. Mitch Topping, Marcus Messier and Lucas Nickles followed for a 5-1 lead at 15:24.
The Amerians outshot the Silvertips 45-14. Eric Comrie and Ty Rimmer split time in goal for Tri-City, with each giving up a goal.
Tri-City plays Portland at 3 p.m. today.
