Quick hits
* "We only have three seniors on the squad and six juniors," coach Whitsett said. "Over half the roster is freshmen and sophomores."
* Pedersen, Schmidt and Evan Whitsett are upperclassmen with high-octane talent. Pedersen finished last season with 20 receptions for 287 yards with three TDs. Schmidt had six TDs from his efforts, which included 19 receptions for 207 yards and 52 carries for 250 yards. And although Whitsett only played 31/4 games before being sidelined because of a collarbone injury, he made the most of every moment on the field with 1,344 passing yards and 14 TDs.
Outlook
Write off 2010 as a transition year for TC Prep.
If the Jaguars remain healthy, they will pose a challenge to the tough Southeast 2B.
