Quick hits
* The Umatilla school board approved Mosher for the head-coaching job in mid-July. He was an assistant under Kelly Allen, who resigned after four seasons to spend more time with his family.
* The Vikings are looking for a new tackling giant after the graduation of Brenden Dunleavy (69 total tackles in 2010) and German Campos (54).
* Sanguino gives the Vikings some stability -- and mobility -- at quarterback.
Outlook
Being a first-year coach can be difficult, especially with a team that struggled the previous season. Mosher's familiarity with the players should help him make up for lost time at the helm.
