* 1987 -- The Richland Cobras U12 boys soccer team won three games to win the Bigfoot Jamboree in Snohomish. Mark Stottlemyre scored nine goals, Hasani Duke had five and Tony McGough four.

* 1973 -- Jim Emery struck out 13 to lead the Tri-City Imperials to a Northwest League victory over Lewis-Clark. Larry Saska, general manager, president and part owner of the Imperials, went 0-for-3 -- striking out all three times -- as the designated hitter.

* 1967 -- Bob Kenny hurled a three-hitter as Medford shut out the Tri-City Atoms 4-0 in Northwest League play. It was Tri-CIty's sixth consecutive loss. Larry Tingle took the loss for the Atoms.
