Andrea McNamara Doyle has been chosen to serve as the new executive director of the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.

She will succeed Doug Ellis, who has served as the agency's interim executive director since former executive director Vicki Rippie's March 2010 departure.

The executive director is responsible for making recommendations to the commission on interpreting and enforcing the public disclosure law, rule making, budget issues, legislative proposals and agency priorities.

McNamara Doyle also will oversee the agency's operations and staff of 20, serve as agency spokesperson, and act as the PDC's liaison with the governor's office, legislature and stakeholders.

McNamara Doyle has 15 years of leadership and management experience in the Washington legislative and executive branches and has two years of private sector legal experience in government relations. She will be paid an annual salary of $113,000.
