Pasco police have cordoned off about five blocks between Ainsworth and B streets in east Pasco while searching for a suspect involved in a shooting.
The shooting was near Seventh Avenue and B Street just before 3 p.m., said Pasco police Capt. Ken Roske.
Police received reports of two males on foot who shot a black car. One suspect was arrested fairly quickly after the shooting, Roske said. He said didnt know if the shooting was related to the Monday night shooting
A 46-year-old Pasco woman was hospitalized after being shot in the head last night during a gang-related fight. The fight happened last night when two groups of people began arguing in the parking lot of a motel on the 1500 block of North Oregon Street at 9:40 p.m.
Three school buses serving Virgie Robinson Elementary School were sent back to the school by Pasco police, said the Pasco School District.
The children on buses 44, 79 and 117 are safe but were delayed. All students on the delayed buses involved have been returned to their parents or taken to their homes.
Washington State Patrol is assisting in the search.
