A 25-year-old Pasco man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly driving drunk when he turned in front of another car on Highway 12.

A West Richland couple was injured in the 5:30 p.m. wreck on the highway at Sacajawea Park Road.

Gonzalo Olivera was not injured. He was booked into Franklin County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a Washington State Patrol report.

Troopers are also blaming Olivera for failing to yield the right of way.

Olivera was westbound in a 1990 Honda Accord when he turned south onto Sacajawea Park, directly in the path of an eastbound 2007 Pontiac G6, the report said.

The Pontiac, driven by David A. Wilz, struck the Honda.

Wilz, 60, and Janell L. Wilz, 55, were both taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for treatment. They were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
