A Benton City man sought by several Tri-City law enforcement agencies was arrested early Friday in Spokane.
Christopher Hill, 31, was booked into the Spokane County jail around 5:30 a.m. on suspicion of attempting to elude police and two warrants, according to online jail records.
Hill was wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Pendleton and on a $250,000 warrant for bail jumping on a charge of possessing meth from Benton County, The Spokesman-Review reported.
Spokane police said officers working with the Pacific Northwest Violent Crimes Task Force got a tip about 2 a.m. that Hill was in the west Spokane area.
Officers tried to stop him, but he led them on a brief chase before police lost sight of him, police said.
An alert citizen, who watched the chase from her home, called 911 and reported the suspect had turned off his headlights and turned down a nearby road.
Officers tracked Hill down but he again tried to speed away. He got his truck stuck on boulder and reportedly jumped out and ran. A police dog unit found Hill about 60 feet from the truck, police said.
He has been wanted by Kennewick police for about two weeks after he allegedly led them on a high-speed chase.
Richland police also have him as a suspect in a stolen car case, and Benton County sheriff's officials said Hill is wanted in connection with a burglary at the EFC Supply Store in Benton City on Aug. 4.
