The fair featured roller derby for the first time on Aug. 23 in the rodeo arena at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick. The local Atomic City Roller Girls squad was divided into "fresh meat" and "veteran" squads that faced off against Ellensburg's Rodeo City Roller Girls and Tacoma's Femme Fianna.
