Three Kennewick men were jailed over the weekend for allegedly stealing items from vehicles. The men have been linked to six car prowls.
Officers responded to a car prowl in progress in the 6200 block of West First Avenue early Sunday. The victim reported to a 911 dispatcher that he could see someone in his vehicle with a flashlight.
Officers contacted three suspects in a silver Toyota Corolla near the Pub Tavern in Kennewick who matched the description the victim provided. Police said stolen property was visible in plain view.
David Delgado, 35, Jimmy T. Cuellar, 23, and Jeffrey P. Maddux, 23, were arrested and booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of vehicle prowling. The Toyota Corolla was seized as evidence for a search warrant.
A search warrant was issued and officers recovered about $3,500 worth of stolen property from the vehicle.
