Imagine this: Your company (the city of Richland) needs to replace an executive board member due to a retirement. You as a member of the search committee (voter) have been tasked with finding a replacement. Four candidates have applied for the job. Three of them never worked for your company in any department nor have they worked for any other company like yours.

Terry Christensen, the fourth candidate, has been a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission of the city of Richland for almost 10 years and, presently is the chairman of that commission. He is familiar with the workings of the city, the planning commission, whose meetings he attends, and the other boards and commissions of the city. I believe that he is the most qualified of the four candidates and, therefore, I urge you, as a member of the search committee, to vote for Terry Christensen for city council, Position 6.
