The Mid-Columbia is under a fire weather watch from this morning through evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind, relative low humidity and dry vegetation could lead to the rapid spread of wildfires.

In the Tri-Cities, windy weather could cause blowing dust after 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. this evening.

Southwest winds of 5 to 8 mph increasing to 15 to 18 mph are expected today. Winds could gust up to 30 mph.

Tonight west winds of 18 to 21 mph are predicted, decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph with gusts up to 32 mph.
