High School football practice started Wednesday across the state.
So heres a little taste to get you fans warmed up.
Kents Ron Siegel, who puts out a preseason all-state team in both football and basketball, just released his preseason all-state football team for seniors and there are a couple of Mid-Columbians on it.
On defense, Connells Matt Hadley and Chiawanas Miquiyah Zamora are listed as multi-purpose players. Davis standout David Trimble is a multi-purpose player on offense.
Numerous others are on the Other Seniors to Watch list, including quarterbacks Lucas McGill of Eastmont and Deion Wright of Davis.
Othellos Caleb Garza and Sunnysides Steven Montgomery are listed at running backs, while Walla Wallas Moe Handcox and Davis Cooper Kupp are at wide receiver.
Lineman Dennis Christensen of Richland made the list, as did Connells Keenan VanHollebeke.
Linebackers Jordan Downing of Chiawana and Sawyer Powell of Richland are on it, as well as kicker-punter Daniel Hernandez of Selah.
First games are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 2. Thats when the Heralds annual high school football section comes out too.
