Gesa Credit Union announced today that it would pledge to donate at least $100,000 to community nonprofits and scholarships each year.
Christina Lethlean, president and CEO of the Richland-based credit union, said the donations and scholarships are how Gesa is choosing to celebrate meeting the milestone of more than 100,000 customers at the companys 10 Eastern Washington branches.
Much of that growth has happened in the last four years, as the company added new locations in the Tri-Cities, more employees and new programs, she said.
Nonprofits that will benefit from the donations this year include Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement, she said. To see the full story, read Fridays Herald.
