* 2007 -- Tri-City Dust Devils pitcher Cory Riordan allowed three hits and a walk over five innings in a 6-2 win over the Vancouver Canadians at Tri-Cities Stadium. Mike Mitchell's two-run triple in the third inning gave the Dust Devils a 2-0 lead they wouldn't relinquish. The win moved Tri-City within two games of first-place Boise and into a tie with Spokane in the East Division standings.
* 1999 -- The Kennewick 13s beat Othello 8-0 and Lewiston, Idaho, 13-2 to reach the Babe Ruth regional title game against Beaverton. Steve Marquardt and Kevin Fargher combined on a one-hitter against Othello, and Tim Young blasted a three-run home run against Lewiston.
* 1954 -- Tri-City playing manager Edo Vanni pulled a sharpie on the Vancouver players and Tri-City fans when his former teammate Eddie Murphy homered in the first inning. Vanni, seeing the ball would clear the fence by a large margin, pretended he made the catch -- delighting spectators but confusing radio listeners when the horseplay was erroneously reported as an out by broadcaster Jerry Colkitt, who then backtracked with a hasty, "Wait a minute, it's all the way out here for a home run." Vancouver won the game 13-4.
