Marilyn and Dick Coughren, of Pasco, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by spending a week on the Oregon coast with their children and grandchildren.
They were married June 18, 1961, at the Coos Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church in Coos Bay, Ore.
Marilyn has degrees in nursing, accounting and business administration. She was a nurse for eight years, raised her children and then worked in business management. She retired in 2001 from the office of her husband, Dr. K. Dick Coughren.
Dick received a bachelor's degree in engineering and worked for General Electric for six years and then obtained a degree in dentistry in 1969. He practiced dentistry in Pasco for over 30 years. He retired in 2001 from his office, K. Dick Coughrenm DDS, PS.
They attend the Riverview Seventh-day Adventist Church and have volunteered at church and Tri-City Junior Academy.
They have two children, Brian Coughren of Murrieta, Calif., and Vicki Littlefield of Bend, Ore. They have four grandchildren.
