* 1985 -- Dianne Franklin of Finley captured her first-ever main event with a victory in the bomber class at Tri-City Raceway. Franklin outdistanced the field in the 25-lap final while driving a 1968 Ford Galaxie rebuilt after an accident three weeks ago. Franklin also captured the A heat before her main-event win.

* 1952 -- Billy Griffin struck out 13, and Jimmy Jones, Jack Morrow, Don Medley and Art Baxter had two hits apiece as Richland earned a 4-2 victory over Touchet.
