Marie and Ronald Schultz, of Pasco, will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Aug. 27 with an open house at 8505 W. Franklin Road in Pasco, hosted by their children. They will celebrate again at their annual family campout at Farragut State Park in Idaho with family and friends.
They were married Aug. 26, 1961 in Coeur d'Alene. Ron moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1943 and Marie in 1957.
Marie worked for the Franklin County treasurer for 29 years and retired in January 2008. She is a member of St. Patrick's Church in Pasco, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Franklin County Retirees, and Franklin County Historical Society. She volunteers at the church and the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
Ron worked for Chevron Chemical Company in Finley for 28 years and retired in 1992. He is a member of St. Patrick's Church in Pasco, Knights of Columbus, Kennewick Eagles and the Franklin County Historical Society.
They have three children, Dean Schultz of Waldorf, Md.; Wade Schultz of Mesa; and Veronica Dillon of Spokane.
They have 12 grandchildren.
