* 1988 -- Ryan Hoff hit a two-run double and Aaron Clem ripped a two-run single as Hanford broke open a 2-2 game by scoring 11 times in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to win the opener of a split American Legion baseball doubleheader with Pullman, 13-6.

* 1972 -- Tri-City lefthander Rich Troedson finished with 10 strikeouts against five walks and was ably aided by his infielders, who were credited with 15 assists, as Tri-City took a 6-4 victory over Seattle.

* 1962 -- Sharpshooting Furl Simpson broke 50 straight clay pigeons to capture individual honors in competition at the Pasco Gun Club.
