* 1989 -- Eric Maltos and Ty Robbins combined to pitch the Burbank Bashers to a 4-3 victory over the San Diego State team sponsored by Sea World at Burbank High School.

* 1976 -- Bob Crow pitched back-to-back no-hitters, just missing a perfect game, as the Tri-City Contractors recorded the top local finish at the Sunshine Men's Fastpitch Softball tournament in Kennewick. The Contractors, who finished seventh, beat Wenatchee 5-0 for Crow's first no-hitter, and then topped Renton 5-0 for his second. Ziegler's of Spokane emerged from the loser's bracket to beat Roberto's Deli of Vancouver 9-2 and 2-1 to win the tournament.
