* 1984 -- Carmelo LoSauro lowered his ERA from 10.50 to 4.50 with eight superb innings of work as the Tri-Cities Triplets edged the Everett Giants 2-1 in a Washington Division game.

* 1967 -- Jim Flynn threw a seven-hitter in the nightcap as the Tri-City Atoms split a Northwest League doubleheader on the road with the Eugene Emeralds. Eugene won the opener 7-1, while Tri-City won the second game 6-1.

* 1959 -- Bell Furniture defeated Densow Drug 8-5 to win the Richland Columbia Little League championship playoff. Bell Furniture went on to represent Columbia Little League in the city championships. Terry Werner went 3-for-4 for Bell Furniture, while Bill Ryenolds hit a solo home run for Densow Drug.
