* 1951 -- The Tri-City Braves swept the Tacoma Tigers 4-1 and 4-0 in a doubleheader at Sanders field. Cy Greenlaw struck out five Tigers and walked three in the nightcap to earn his third victory of the year in front of a crowd of 1,570 fans.

* 1962 -- The Richland American Legion team opened defense of its state championship in successful fashion as Wapato failed to solve the offerings of Doug Lukens, Monte Franklin and Larry Cochran, who each pitched three innings in the Tri-Citians' easy 15-0 victory.

* 1970 -- Steve Durfee smashed a grand-slam home run in the fifth inning to lead Thrifty Drug past Old National Bank 6-4 in a Richland National Little League contest.
