YAKIMA -- Nine Mid-Columbia baseball players were selected to play in the All-State Series for high school seniors in Yakima this coming weekend.
Hanford pitcher Dan Scheibe was named to Team Adams; Richland catcher Jarrod Turner and Walla Walla's Drew Christina (pitcher) and Kevin Toon (shortstop) were selected to Team Baker; Kamiakin pitcher Garrett Anderson was picked for Team Rainier; and Southridge twins Ty and Bryce Jackson, Moses Lake shortstop Cameron Alvarado and Columbia-Burbank third baseman Dylon Smith are on Team St. Helens.
There will be two games on Saturday and Sunday at Yakima County Stadium. Adams and Baker will play at noon Saturday, followed by St. Helens and Rainier.
On Sunday, the losers play each other at 10:25 a.m., and the winners square off at 1:35 p.m.
