KENNEWICK -- A 9-year-old Kennewick boy was injured Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle, police said.

The boy, whose name was not released, ran out from behind a parked car and was hit. He was taken to Kennewick General Hospital with minor injuries to his head and leg.

The accident happened at 2:51 p.m. in a trailer park in the 4800 block of West Clearwater Avenue.

Kennewick police said the accident is under investigation, but they do not suspect speed or alcohol were causes.
