* 2005 -- The Tri-Cities Fever traded nose guard Karl Liftee to the Billings Mavericks in exchange for linebacker Levi Madarieta. The Fever also signed free agent defensive lineman Robert Polecki.

* 2003 -- Kyle Smith scored a goal 10 minutes into the match and it held up as the Richland boys soccer team defeated Lewis & Clark 1-0 in the 4A state quarterfinals. Bombers keeper Jose Herrera had nine saves in the match.

* 1993 -- Columbia Basin College's Warren Dykeman defeated spokane's Sam Stinson 6-2, 6-2 to win the NWAACC Tennis Championships No. 1 men's singles title in Yakima. Dykeman also teamed with Tony Meilleur to win the No. 1 doubles title.
