* 1984 -- All-state forward Dan Hanes, who led the Othello Huskies to the Washington AA basketball crown, signed a letter of intent with Montana State University, according to coach Pete Patitucci. The 6-foot-6 senior averaged 21 points per game during the regular season and was named MVP of the state AA tournament. Othello won three straight games by one point to take the state title. Hanes scored 27 in the Huskies' 57-56 win over Chief Sealth in the championship.
