* 1989 -- Kamiakin's Chris Johnson shot an even-par 69 to tie for medalist honors at the Wenatchee Invitational golf tournament. Johnson fell in a three-way tiebreaker to Matt Bunn of Mead, but the Braves set a tournament record with a team score of 283, as all four members -- Johnson, Chris Bensel (70), Ken Bensel (72) and Scott Johnson (72) -- combined to shoot just 7-over.

* 1975 -- Mike Neill of Richland was named to the first-team all-state basketball team for the third consecutive season after leading the Bombers to their fourth straight trophy finish. Neil, who averaged 28.4 points during the regular season, set the single-season state tournament scoring record with 296 points after finishing second in the state in scoring during the regular season.
