* 1989 -- Tri-City Americans goalie Olaf Kolzig had 35 saves on 37 shots, but the Portland Winter Hawks still ended the Americans' storybook season with a 4-2 win in Game 7 of a best-of-9 Western Division semifinal at Memorial Coliseum.

* 1971 -- Prosser overcame a fine performance by Grandview hurdler Jon Horner to defeat the Greyhounds 92.5 to 52.5 in a Mid-Valley Conference track dual. Horner won the 120 and 180 hurdles, and he anchored Grandview's winning mile relay team in 3 minutes, 46.8 seconds.
