Joanne and Wayne Killand of Richland celebrated 60 years of marriage March 13 with family and friends in Pasco.

They moved to the Tri-Cities from Iowa, Wayne in 1945 and Joanne in 1947. They were married on March 16, 1951, at the Richland Lutheran Church.

She worked for the Richland School District and later at Hanford, retiring in 1988 from Westinghouse.

He worked for Hanford contractors, retiring in 1989 from Westinghouse.

They have three children, Bruce Killand of Tualatin, Ore.; Lori (Des) Whelan of Kennewick; and Brian (Kathy) Killand of Pasco. They have four grandchildren.
