Richland's Hart wins state lacrosse award

RICHLAND -- Richland High School's Daniel Hart was named High School Boys Division II Player of the Week by the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association this week.

Hart, a sophomore goaltender, made 31 saves in Three Rivers' two wins to open the season.

He stopped 16 shots in Three Rivers' 17-13 win over Roosevelt last Friday. On Saturday, he made another 15 saves to boost his team to a 10-8 win over Blanchet.

His .596 save percentage is tops among all Division II boys goaltenders with two wins.
