The Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers has presented Katya’s Restaurant and Wine Bar of Richland with its Restaurant Appreciation Award.
The award recognized the restaurant for having an “...outstanding wine list, featuring Washington State wines,” according to a news release.
The award was presented to Katya’s owners, James and Maryna Hartley, at WAWGG’s recent annual convention in Kennewick .
According to WAWGG Executive Director Vicky Scharlau, the award, “highlights a restaurant that does an exceptional job of highlighting the width and breadth of wines available from our state,” the release said.
The award cites both the list and the knowledge of Washington’s wines that the restaurant demonstrates. This is the 12th year the award has been presented.
