Betty and Earl Steelman

Betty and Earl Steelman celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Feb. 17.

They were married Feb. 17, 1946, in Wagoner, Okla. They moved here from Yonkers, Okla., in June 1947.

Betty retired from the Richland School District in 1989.

Earl retired from the United Nuclear Corporation in 1983. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge 283, the Senior Bowling League at Richland Atomic Lanes and bowls weekly. He plays the fiddle as a member of a four-man musical group that plays weekly at local retirement homes. He is also a member of the District 12 Fiddlers. They are members of the Richland Heights Baptist Church.

They have three children, Bob and Marie Steelman of Portland; John and Marsha Steelman of Richland; and Mark and Tracy Steelman of Richland.

They have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
