Don and Barbara "BJ" Hunt, of Kennewick, celebrated 60 years of marriage with a trip to San Diego.

They were married Jan. 7, 1951, at Friends Community Church in Homedale, Idaho.

The couple moved to Othello in 1954, where Don was in the John Deere business and BJ worked at the junior high school. They lived in Othello for 26 years.

In 1980, Don's farm management career took them to New Mexico, Colorado, Minnesota and Hermiston, Ore., where he retired in 2002.

Through all their travels, BJ always found a place to volunteer, often at a library because of her love of reading.

After retirement they moved to Kennewick.

They have three children, Sandra Marshall of Snohomish; Dan Hunt (Rhonda) of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and Susan Le Doux (Jay) of Gladstone, Ore.

They have six grandchildren.
