* 1997 -- Kennewick senior post Tyree Finney scored a career-high 24 points to lead the sixth-seeded Lions to a 63-52 loser-out victory over Wenatchee in a Big Nine district game at the Lions Den. Luke Boneck scored 15 points and Randy Johnson had nine points and eight rebounds for Kennewick.
* 1975 -- Scott Hudson had 16 points to help guide Royal to its first State A basketball tournament berth with a 57-53 overtime victory over Carroll in Sunnyside. Gary Smith hit a 12-footer to put the Knights ahead with 1:43 remaining in overtime, and Jim Kallenberger iced the win when he hit two free throws with 21 seconds left.
