Cheating spouses. What could be funnier?
The Farrelly brothers did Dumb and Dumber. My point in bringing that up is their movies reflect their most famous title.
Now you can add insulting to those adjectives.
Women and men, the sanctity of marriage and monogamy all get skewered.
Hall Pass is a mess and a film deserving of its own pass.

Barney's Version
Paul Giamatti is Barney. He's rich, influential and morally lost.

The movie follows his life from a young man to the end of his days. The first half is brilliantly written and the film as an entity features exceptional acting.
Few actors have Giamatti's chops, and when the plot turns from murder mystery and love story to a soap opera, his powerful acting carries the load.
This one is worth seeing just for the superb acting, wonderful sets and, once it gets there, a creative solution to the mystery.
