* 1972 -- Tri-City Arco scored 60 points in the second half to beat Yakima Cement 104-90 at West Valley High School Gym. Theartis Wallace, Don Parsons and Jim McKean each had at least 20 points for Arco, which trailed 52-44 at halftime but rallied for its 21st consecutive victory of the season.

* 1963 -- The Columbia Basin College men's basketball team defeated Lower Columbia 88-61 on the road to clinch at least a tie for the Washington JC Conference Northern Division title. The two-time defending state champion Hawks got 20 points and 16 rebounds from Bob Antulov.
