RICHLAND -- A Richland man is accused of felony assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Richland police went to 900 Aaron Drive on Friday to see if they could find a car involved in a hit-and-run in Pasco.

When Richland and Pasco officers entered an apartment to interview possible suspects, Joshua Wiemer, 29, argued and did not cooperate, according to Richland police reports.

As police detained him, he butted an officer with his head, according to police reports.

He was taken to Benton County jail.
