Ki-Be quarterback Matt Mason had a strong game, passing for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
Hayden Wing caught five of Mason's passes for 217 yards -- three of them for touchdown plays of 76, 60 and 11 yards.

COWICHE -- Kiona-Benton sophomore Anfernee Cortez made a splash in his varsity debut with two touchdowns on the night -- a 17-yard run and a 48-yard pass to Cristian Aguilar -- as Ki-Be won a road game against Highland.
"A great win," Ki-Be coach Charlie Hobbick said. "We haven't shut out anybody in a long time. To be able to win like that in the opener is exciting for us."
Bears senior Dalton Morgan also added credit to the scoring ledger with two touchdowns on 147 rushing yards.

BENTON CITY -- Christian Aguilar scored two touchdowns and kicked four PATs to lead Kiona-Benton to a home nonleague win over Naches Valley.
Aguilar returned an interception 13 yards for a score, and caught a 20-yard pass from Anfernee Cortez for another.
Cortez scored on runs of 24 and 20 yards, while Dalton Morgan ran for 220 yards and one touchdown.

BENTON CITY -- Dalton Morgan bulled into the end zone four times to lead the host Bears (3-4, 1-3) to their first SCAC East victory of the season.
"Dalton Morgan ran like the champ that he is," Kiona-Benton coach Charlie Hobbick said of the 6-3, 235-pounder, who rushed for 182 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.
His other score came on a 10-yard throw from Anfernee Cortez.

BENTON CITY -- Kiona-Benton picked up a wild 45-34 SCAC East victory at Wahluke on Friday.
The Bears rallied with two late touchdowns, after blocking a Wahluke punt and recovering it at the 1. Anfernee Cortez scored on the next play. The Bears then got the ball back, and Dalton Morgan salted away the victory with a 31-yard touchdown run.
"What a battle," said Bears coach Charlie Hobbick, who credited the Warriors' Francisco Cuevas with being a "super athlete" during the course of the clash.
