The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking for golfers for its 20th Annual Golf Classic set for Sept. 13 at Meadow Springs Country Club.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to support the chamber's multiple programs including the development of a new Small Business Resource Center at the chamber office.

The Home Builders Association and the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce are organizing the annual Elected Leaders Reception from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Clover Island Inn in Kennewick.

To enter, take a receipt or business card from a Chamber member, include your name and phone number, and go the Chamber of Commerce office, 29 E. Sumach St.
The final drawing will be held Dec. 23. One winner receives $100.

Jack Wilson, Richland banker, suggested that the Chamber of Commerce have a dunking booth during Atomic Frontier days. It was also his idea to offer chamber members as a "sacrifice" to the "water god." Then he was out-of-town on a business trip during the event. When he returned the chamber meeting closed early and members escorted Wilson to a local pool and threw him in, clothes, cigar and all.

The Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce's "State of the Ports" luncheon is Sept. 28 at the Red Lion Hotel in Richland.
Commissioners Bill Clark, Robert Larson and Skip Novakovich are scheduled to discuss recent progress and the future of the ports.
The luncheon runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets for pre-registered chamber mem-bers are $18 and $22 for non-Chamber members. Reservations are due Friday.
