Kennewick — Mills Music is open for business at 6030 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick.
The store, which rents and sells band, orchestra and sound equipment, will have a community grand opening party Saturday, Aug. 28.
Instrument demonstrations and giveaways will mark the program, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The store is part of a local chain, which started almost 40 years in Bothell. It came to the Tri-Cities, because of its strong economy, said Monty Mills, vice president of Mills Music Corp.
