A suspected burglar who took prescription pills from a Richland home was later caught by Richland police while riding a stolen bicycle, authorities said.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of Jadwin Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday after the resident reported a theft, said Officer Erica Tungesvik.
Police learned the suspect, later identified as Jason Calvin Millan, 30, of Kennewick, had been in the home of the 56-year-old woman, refused to leave, then stole some prescription medications, she said.
Millan was found nearby riding a bike, which officers learned previously had been reported stolen, and he was arrested, Tungesvik said.
During the investigation, officers found a stolen camera on Millan and determined it had been taken in a separate burglary in the 1600 block of George Washington Way.
Millan was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of two counts of residential burglary.
