Car show set Saturday at Howard Amon Park

By the Herald staff June 16, 2010

A car show featuring collectible and classic vehicles is planned Saturday at Howard Amon Park in Richland.

Restored vehicles and hot rods will be on display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Country Nesters Antique Show.

Anyone interested in participating in the show can enter a vehicle for a $10 entry fee, said Cheryl Ziemer, president of Transportation Expo.

The nonprofit is working on creating a transportation museum in the Tri-Cities featuring antique and classic cars and trucks, hot rods, boats, airplanes, trains and riverboats.

Proceeds from the car show will be used to help find a building for a museum, she said.

For more information, call Ziemer at 430-2151 or 627-4570.
