WALLA WALLA -- Robert J. Carson, a geologist and Whitman College professor, will sign copies of his new book East of Yellowstone at 4 p.m. Friday at the Whitman College Bookstore, 280 Boyer Ave., Walla Walla.
The new geology guidebook invites the curious into the dramatic geologic beauty of the Clarks Fork Valley and the nearby Beartooth and Absaroka mountains and Bighorn Basin of Wyoming and Montana.
Carson also edited Where the Great River Bends: A natural and human history of the Columbia at Wallula.
