McCurley's John Inman named top United Way volunteer

By the Herald staff

John Inman was named the 2009 United Way Distinguished Volunteer of the Year on Thursday.

Inman, senior sales manager at McCurley Integrity Dealerships, was surprised by the announcement, made at McCurley in front of his family and staff.

He has volunteered with United Way since 2006.

He is past chairman of United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties, has chaired its "Kids Matter" Community Solutions Team and has been active in Young Life, a Christian outreach ministry that works with middle and high school students. He also is a member of the Rotary Club of Tri-Cities Sunrise.

"John truly displays the qualities that are necessary for the success of United Way's mission to improve people's lives in our community," United Way officials said in an announcement.
